WEEK 7

DISCUSSION

1. It is entitled Chameleon because the protagonist is named Cam which is similar to a chameleon. As we all know, chameleons adapt to their environment by changing their color. Cam is similar to one since she's been changing her characters or behavior depending on who she hangs out with. Cam adapts with the personality of her boyfriend. We can notice that Cam aims to be similar and to have similar perceptions as of her boyfriend.

2. Everything that Cam did is for the sake of being the same as her boyfriend. Every day she loses herself by changing her own behavior when she's around her man. Cam changes her clothes for them to fit with each other. Cam also decides to order the same thing that her boyfriend wants to eat. In these ways, Cam loses herself and her true identity.

3.  Knowing your own self is a big step for personal development, because you will be able to improve yourself. Knowing yourself first is important for you to gain full control of your identity, identifying those you need and what you want. Knowing yourself will affect you in a good way. You will learn to care for yourself and practice self-love. For others, it is a key for them to know who you really are and how will they love you as your own self.

4. I realized that loving someone is okay, but losing yourself in the process is not. In order to love them, you must love yourself first. Changing yourself just to cope with them is not advisable since the person who you love will not acknowledge who you really are. Understanding yourself is very important to know your own standards and needs. In this way you will be able to show people who you really are and this is a very crucial key to become a better person.
