2ND QUARTER E-PORTFOLIO (WEEK 6)
WEEK 6
DISCUSSION
It has been known that a family is the
foundation of our society. Our behaviors, primary knowledge, and manners were
obtained from the family. I believe that having a firm relationship with the
family is a key to properly shape your well-being. It is necessary to build a
healthy relationship with the family for it will also improve the
open-mindedness of each member of the family. Thus, making each of them
stronger despite any challenges that will come.
REFLECTION
1.
- I learned
that a person who can accept themselves, will reach success in life. When
we learned to truly love ourselves, we can determine our weak points.
Because of this, we will learn to thrive and aim for the better. Loving
and strengthening your connection with yourself is an important key to
success.
- I
reflected that we don't need to alter ourselves just to be accepted by the
society. This means that we should improve ourselves to impress ourselves
too, not others. Change is inevitable, so change for the betterment of
yourself.
- It is
clear that person with impure heart is a person who is unclean. Looks
doesn't define what u are and what you can do. If others are not pleased
by how you look, it doesn't matter. Success and good morals aren't
measured through good looks.
- I think
that one successful person who went from a lot of difficulties is a very
ideal and an admirable individual. Undergoing a lot of challenges makes an
individual tougher. It is very admirable to see someone rose from all the
hardships he/she has went through. Even if you aren't privileged, you can
be a successful person one day by being tough.
- It taught
me that it's okay to be different. Being different is being unique. You
possess a lot of personalities that can be used to achieve your successful
life. You don't have to be discouraged just because you are different,
hence, it is something that you should be proud of.
2. The part that moved me the most is seeing Norman step up to the
stage receiving is diploma. He did this wearing his traditional clothes too.
The video showed a lot of difficulties and challenges that he went through. All
these hardships paid off because of his determination and perseverance. I was
also touched when I saw the happiness in his mother. Despite being financially
unstable, she taught Norman a lot of ways that he also did nourish to become
successful. Mother's love is truly unconditional. I was never been proud to
witness their success and happiness.
3. After watching the video, I feel truly inspired. Despite being
bullied and degraded by the society, Norman kept on thriving for success, which
triggered the determination within myself. I felt the proudness of his family
as he graduated successfully which managed to bring the burning passion within
me, that I will make my family proud someday. In addition, I feel sad for what
he been through with all the discrimination he received. I think we should
educate each other that this isn't right and never has been. I also learned
that these challenges wouldn't hinder someone to reach for their goals and be
successful.
4. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science.
